Greek Salad with Feta Cheese

Greek Salad with Feta Cheese photo

Greek salad goes perfectly with meat dishes and does not require any additional garnish, although it should be mentioned that it is particularly good with fish. Lemon juice combined with olive oil perfectly balances all the flavors and tastes. Look for the ripest vegetables and cold-pressed olive oil, which plays no small part in this mix of flavors.

In a Greek salad, the quantities of cucumbers, bell peppers, and tomatoes should be equal. This will give the Greek salad a rich and harmonious flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cucumber
  • 1 cup tomato
  • 1 cup sweet bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup red onion
  • 20 pcs black olives
  • 1/3 pc lemon
  • 1 cup feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt

Instructions

  • Prepare a deep bowl for the salad. Cut off the ends of the cucumber and cut it in half lengthwise. Then cut the cucumber into slices about 3 mm thick. Place the sliced cucumbers in the bowl.
  • Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper. Cut the peppers into medium-sized squares. Place the sliced peppers in the bowl with the cucumbers.
  • Remove the stems and cut the tomatoes into large slices. Place the sliced tomatoes in a bowl with the rest of the vegetables.
  • Peel the onion. Cut the peeled onion into thin half rings.
  • Cut the black olives into rings and add them to the bowl with the vegetables, draining them beforehand.
  • Cut the feta cheese into small cubes and add it to the salad.
  • Prepare the dressing: squeeze a tablespoon of lemon juice into the olive oil and add a little salt. Add the dressing to the salad.
  • Mix the salad with a spoon. Do this as gently as possible so as not to damage the chopped vegetables and feta cheese. Enjoy!
