Beef stew in tomato sauce is a comforting dish, ideal when you want a main course full of flavor and texture. Boneless beef and fresh tomatoes form the basis of a rich sauce, to which lemongrass and chili peppers add aromatic and spicy notes. Slow cooking allows the meat to tenderize, and serving it with your favorite side dish—pasta, potatoes, or greens—completes the meal.

Beef is tough and stringy and does not have a very distinctive flavor. It is very easy to overcome the above disadvantages by applying competent culinary techniques.
