Oatmeal, orange, and dark chocolate cookies are the ideal snack for energizing mornings or flavorful snacks. The crunchy oatmeal and citrus aroma of oranges combine perfectly with intense notes of dark chocolate for a light and healthy dessert. The texture, taste, and aroma of this delicacy are simply perfect. The cookies are light, crumbly, and crunchy. They have a moderately sweet taste and are very easy to make—just mix a few simple ingredients.

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 medium eggs, one-third of a teaspoon of salt, sugar, a pinch of vanilla extract, and powdered orange peel (or the zest of half a fresh orange).
  • Pour in odorless vegetable oil and mix everything together with a whisk.
  • Add cornstarch and baking powder. Mix.
  • Gradually add oat flakes. The dough should be very soft and sticky (even slightly spreadable), so you may need fewer flakes.
  • Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them, as they spread during baking. Add chopped dark chocolate to the surface of the cookies. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-15 minutes, depending on size.
  • First, leave the finished cookies on the baking sheet, and transfer the slightly cooled ones to a container.
