  • Break the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar and salt. Mix with a whisk until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the warm milk and butter at room temperature to the mixture. Stir.
  • In a small, deep dish, place a little lukewarm milk, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and the yeast. Mix and cover with something. Leave the yeast for 5-7 minutes to activate.
  • After the yeast foam has risen, add it to the mixture and stir.
  • Add the flour little by little, first mixing everything with a spatula and then using your hands. Add enough flour so that the dough does not stick to your hands. Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a towel, and leave it in a warm place for 1.5-2 hours.
  • Once the dough has risen well, form small balls about the size of your fist. Leave them on the table and cover them with a towel for 30 minutes to allow them to rise further.
  • Once they have risen, fill them with your favorite jam, making sure it doesn’t spill out. For example, you could use cherry or sour cherry jam. Seal the buns well so that the jam doesn’t leak out, and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  • Brush the buns with beaten egg and bake for 12-15 minutes at 180°C. Adjust the baking time according to your oven. This quantity of ingredients makes approximately 23 buns.
  • Once the buns are baked, sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
