- Potatoes3 cups
- Ground chicken1 ½ cups
- Sour cream1 ½ cups
- Hard cheese (cheddar, gouda, or similar)1 ½ cups
- Egg1
- Salt and ground black pepper
- Peel the potatoes, wash them, and grate them using a coarse grater. Drain the liquid from the grated potatoes well and transfer them to a baking tray in an even layer. I used a 37 cm (15-inch) tray.
- Sprinkle salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- The second layer will be minced chicken, also sprinkled with salt and pepper.
- Grate the hard cheese using a coarse grater. Transfer it to a bowl and add the sour cream and an egg.
- Stir with a spoon.
- Pour the mixture over the minced meat.
- Cover the tray with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about an hour.
- 10-15 minutes before it is ready, remove the aluminum foil and return to the oven to brown the surface.
- Cut and serve. Enjoy!
