Lightly beat the eggs with the sugar using a whisk or mixer on low speed.
Melt the butter and let it cool. Add the butter, vegetable oil, and milk to the egg mixture. Mix with a whisk. Grind half of the oats into flour.
Add the dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients. Gently mix the dough with a whisk.
The dough becomes liquid.
Line the baking tray with baking paper. Pour the batter into the pan and place the cherries on top.
I dipped some of the cherries in batter. I sprinkled almond leaves on top of the cake.
Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes.
Decorate the top of the pie as desired. I just sprinkled it with powdered sugar.
