Heat the pan well. Pour two tablespoons of oil into it.
Then add two tablespoons of corn kernels. These should be spread over the bottom of the pan in a single layer. Shake (so that each kernel is covered with oil) and place the pan over medium heat. Put the lid on.
After a few seconds, you will hear popping sounds coming from the pan (these are the kernels opening (popping) and hitting the lid). Wait until they stop. Remove the lid. A delicious serving of homemade popcorn is ready.
Pour the contents into a bowl. Now all you have to do is decide whether to make it sweet or savory. Do the same with the rest of the oil and corn kernels. And a delicious treat is ready.
