Wash the chicken drumsticks, sprinkle them with salt and ground black pepper to taste, then add the vegetable oil. Mix to coat the meat evenly.
Transfer the chicken drumsticks to a baking pan and bake in the oven at 375–390°F (190–200°C) for about 1 hour.
For the BBQ sauce: in a small saucepan, mix together the ketchup, honey, soy sauce, wine vinegar, black pepper, paprika and mustard powder. Place the saucepan on the stove and cook, stirring, just until it comes to a boil, then turn off the heat.
Take the chicken drumsticks out of the oven and pour the prepared sauce over them. Return the pan to the oven for another 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
For serving, you can arrange lettuce leaves on a plate first, then place the drumsticks on top and add a few lemon slices for garnish.
