Many of us are familiar with the taste of pickles in hamburgers prepared at the famous McDonald’s restaurant chain. I suggest you prepare such pickles at home. They become crispy and very aromatic. Their preparation will not take long, and the result will surely delight you!

Spicy, sour, and sweet cucumbers go perfectly with homemade hamburgers, hot dogs, shawarma, and much more!

  • Wash the cucumbers and cut them into rounds about 5-6 mm thick.
  • Cut the onion into half rings.
  • Cut the garlic with a knife.
  • Mix the cucumbers, onion, garlic, salt, sugar, vinegar, coriander, and mustard seeds in a suitable bowl and place it in the microwave for 3 minutes.
  • The cucumbers have already started to release their juice. At this point, they need to be mixed well and placed back in the microwave for another 3 minutes.
  • To give the cucumbers an appetizing color, add turmeric, stir, and return to the microwave for 3 minutes.
  • By this time, enough brine will have formed to pickle the cucumbers. At this stage, you need to mix them well once more and place them in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours.

A few suggestions for preparation:

1. If you like pickled onions, you can increase the amount without affecting the taste of the cucumbers.
2. To ensure that the cucumbers marinate evenly, stir them periodically.
3. Turmeric gives the cucumbers a beautiful and appetizing color and does not affect the taste of the final dish, so it is not mandatory to use it.
4. The cucumbers can be stored in the refrigerator for a week.
